19 Nov 2025 — 20 Nov 2025
Business Design Centre, London
A WIL competition took place around Light 25 in London. Across the 19th-20th of November at the Business Design Centre, Islington, formalighting in collaboration with Women in Lighting held a #WILUmbrella competition. After 3-days of voting, and 937 votes, yesterday, the voters decided the winner of the #WILUmbrella competition – Dorit Bagehorn. Thank you to everyone who participated and voted, and congratulations to Oleksandra and Sadie who were also both shortlisted – your creativity and vision is inspiring.
Light 25 also finished off with a drinks meet up at Two Beers. Great to see some of our ambassadors together: Surbhi Jindal - India, Carmela Dagnello - UK, Giorgia Brusemini - Italy, Anna Sbokou - Greece and Katia Kolovea from archifos/WIL. Thanks to formalighting for the drinks 😊
About the competition
In 2024, the competition was based around the Women in Lighting hoodie, and saw Andra Munro win a trip to Euroluce. So, this year we are excited to bring the new and striking Women in Lighting × formalighting umbrellas.
The much sought after umbrellas will be available for collection from stand 47. But first, you need to submit your umbrella request, and following this, you will receive a confirmation email detailing how to collect your umbrella and when.
By entering you will have the chance of winning a trip to IALD Enlighten Europe 2026 with 2-nights accommodation and return travel from any European city!
Lighting Designers, to be in with a chance of winning, simply follow these steps:
Step 1 – Complete the umbrella request form by Wednesday 12th November.
Step 2 – Collect your umbrella on either the 19th or 20th of November following the details in your confirmation email.
Step 3 – Create your social post submission.
